Location and accommodation



Varengeville-sur-Mer is a famous village on the Normandy coast west of Dieppe. It is 3/4 of an hour from Rouen on the Rouen-Dieppe dual carriageway ; take the exit at St Aubin-sur-Scie towards Offranville, then follow the signs to Varengeville.

There is a reasonably-priced ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe, and the convenient Hoverspeed fast ferry service which operates from April to October.

Arriving from the north, take the Abbeville-Rouen motorway, leaving at the Les Hayons exit, then the road from Dieppe to Varengeville along the coast.

Arriving from Lower Normandy, take the Normandy Bridge ('pont de Normandie'), then the motorway and dual carriageway towards Dieppe, leaving at St Aubin-sur-Scie, then Offranville.
